P0192
Fuel rail pressure sensor low input
What it means
The fuel rail pressure sensor signal voltage is below the circuit threshold. Actual low rail pressure is a separate condition (P0087).
Symptoms
- limp mode or loss of power
- possible no start
- engine warning light
Likely causes, most likely first
| No. | Cause |
|---|---|
| 01 | signal short to ground |
| 02 | failed rail pressure sensor |
| 03 | low or missing reference voltage |
| 04 | corroded connector or chafed wiring |
| 05 | engine computer input fault |
What to check, step by step
- 01Inspect connector and wiring.
- 02Measure 5 V reference, ground and signal.
- 03Check other sensors on the same 5 V supply.
- 04Replace the sensor if wiring is good.
