OBD-II · Engine and powertrain (P)
P0237
Turbo boost sensor low input
What it means
The boost pressure sensor signal voltage is below the circuit threshold. A boost leak or disconnected pressure hose is a separate range/performance or underboost concern (P0236/P0299).
Symptoms
- loss of power, possibly limp mode
- engine warning light
Likely causes, most likely first
| No. | Cause |
|---|---|
| 01 | signal short to ground |
| 02 | failed boost pressure sensor |
| 03 | unplugged electrical connector or open supply wire |
| 04 | low reference voltage |
| 05 | corroded connector or chafed wiring |
What to check, step by step
- 01Inspect the sensor connector and wiring.
- 02Measure 5 V reference, ground and signal with key on.
- 03Check other sensors sharing the 5 V supply for similar codes.
- 04Replace the sensor if supply and wiring are good.
